History

Built in 1868 by the Wason Manufacturing Company in Massachusetts for the New Jersey Central Railroad. It was then sold to the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad in 1927. Passengers sitting at either end of the coach were lucky to be close to the stove. However, this would be a fire hazard if the railcar derailed. This coach was donated to the Museum along with Coach 20. The roof collapsed, causing damage to both coaches 20 and this coach. However, only this coach was repaired and is still on display at the roundhouse today.
