History

Built in 1941 for the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad to transport items that needed to be covered. Inter refers to the change of, and modal refers to being transported by road, rail, or water. Another term for trailer on flat cars (TOFC) is called “piggybacking”. Today, this Boxcar is displayed in the parking lot.
