History

Built in 1961 by the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad in Indiana. It got repainted and renumbered throughout the late twentieth century. In 1966, it was painted blue and yellow while being used in Pennsylvania. The Baltimore & Ohio Railroad, along with many other railroad companies, formed Chessie System in 1973. However, this caboose was sent to the shops in Kentucky for the Chessie System paint scheme. It was then equipped with a radio and marker lights in West Virginia. It was used in West Virginia up until 1993. About this time, CSX Transportation merged with Chessie System, and this caboose was renumbered 902943. It was used between Clarksburg and Grafton until retirement in 1995. Today, the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Museum has it on display out in the parking lot.
