It was then used for holiday passenger train service. Between 1974 and 1979, the Maryland Department of Transportation used this coach and renumbered it to 3505. In 1980, it was renumbered to 16 and used on the Chessie Safety Express. In 1981, the Railroad Passenger Car Company reacquired this coach and numbered it back to 3587 and repainted it blue and grey for the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad paint scheme. Today, it is on display at the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Museum in the parking lot.
