Built by the Denver & Rio Grande Western Shops itself in 1886. At first, this caboose had two axles and was numbered 94 until 1918, when it got four axles and was renumbered 0578. In 1952, the Rocky Mountain Railroad Club purchased this caboose when it retired. Afterwards, the Colorado Railroad Museum purchased Caboose 0578.
