In 1905, the Puget Sound & Baker River Railway was formed for the Hamilton Logging Company when the Dempsey Logging Company was unable to negotiate rates from the Great Northern Railway. This locomotive was built in 1913 by the Burnham & Williams Co, which was later on replaced by Baldwin Locomotive Works in Pennsylvania. It primarily hauled wood to Sedro-Wolley. It also hauled general freight as well as passenger trains. The two locomotives were nicknamed “One-Spot and Two-Spot”. Puget Sound & Baker River #1 was scrapped in 1952. However, its tender is attached to this locomotive when it was on display at Bingham Park. Today, it is on static display at Harry Osborne Park.
