Chessie System Caboose 3842

Built in 1975 by the International Car Company, and was used to watch the train from the side instead of in a cupola on top. Railcars were sometimes too tall for the conductor to have a view from a cupola, so a bay window caboose would be the solution to this. Today, Caboose 3842 is on static display outside the Bowie Railroad Museum.
