This caboose was used on the Seaboard Coast Line until the 1980s. However, it had many owners after it retired. It was sold to a liquor store in Wilton Manors. The South Florida Railway Museum purchased the caboose in 2001, when the warehouse closed, and it was intended to be displayed on static display in the parking lot once the space was ready. In 2017, it was relocated to the Old School House next to City Hall and underwent a full restoration.
