Capital Transit Car 1470

History

Built in 1944 by St. Louis Car Company in Missouri for Capital Transit. It would be used in the Eckington Neighborhood, in Washington, DC and would sometimes serve in Maryland. In 1963, it was purchased by the City of Roanoke, Virginia, and was acquired by the National Capital Trolley Museum in 2021. Today, it awaits restoration in the Streetcar Hall.
