I-5
Steel end and wooden side body
33ftX10ft
4 axles
62,700lb
Standard gauge

Built in 1927 by the Baltimore & Ohio Railway in Indiana. Throughout the 20th century, these I-5 Cabooses would be upgraded such as a concrete wheelbase so locomotives could push from the back. This would be referred to as “pusher service”. This caboose was used everywhere on the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad but primarily was used on trains in Pennsylvania. It was then retired and donated to the Ellicott City Station Museum, where it is on display inside the fence today.
