Baltimore & Ohio RDC 1951

History

Built in 1953 by the Budd Company in Michigan for the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad. Rail diesel cars have a cab on one end and a seating area. This did not require another locomotive. In the 1980s, MARC purchased this RDC from the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad for commuter routes. Today, it is on display at the Gaithersburg Community Museum.
