Built in 1902 by Burnham Williams & Company in Pennsylvania for the Northern Pacific Railway. The first trips this locomotive took were on passenger routes until 1941, when Q Class locomotives replaced S-4 locomotives. The Q class had a 4-6-2 wheel configuration. This locomotive was assigned to more branchline routes, hauling freight trains and serving passenger routes on branchlines. In 1952, this locomotive was donated to the City of Pasco along with Burlington Northern Caboose 10222 and is on static display at Volunteer Park.
