This aircraft was built by the Antonov design bureau. The idea was to compete with the Polikarpov Po-2 for Soviet Service. It is the largest single-engined biplane to be produced. It could operate in reverse without a tug. This aircraft was used for paratroops, scouts, light bombers, evacuations, light transport, crop-dusting, and more. In 1998, this aircraft was donated to the Museum of Flight at Boeing Field. Today, it is on display in the Aviation Pavilion.
