History

Built by Boeing in Renton, WA, and first flew in February 1963 as a flight test aircraft. In October 1964, it was put into passenger service by United Airlines, flying over 64,495 hours carrying three million passengers during its career up until retirement in 1988. Today, it is on display in the Aviation Pavilion at the Museum of Flight.
