History
Built in the late 2000's by Boeing as their modern design to improve service for passengers. This aircraft was the third Dreamliner built and made its first flight in 2010. It made forty stops in twenty-three countries during the promotional tour, as well as being a display for three air shows. Boeing worked with many different universities around the world to study the best service for passengers, such as lighting, altitude sound, space, and more. With the Dreamliner being manufactured for long-distance travel, airlines had the opportunity to configure sleeping quarters for the crew members to rotate during the flight. The Dreamliner's fuselage, wings, tail, doors, and interior were made out of composite materials to reduce material waste. Today, this aircraft sits on display in the Aviation Pavilion at the Museum of Flight.
