Built in 1907 by Baldwin Locomotive Works in Pennsylvania for the Great Northern Railway. It hauled freight trains mostly in Western Washington up until 1953. While the Great Northern Railway scrapped most of its F8 locomotives, it saved Great Northern #1147, and this locomotive. #1147 is currently displayed in Wenatchee. This locomotive was donated to the City of Seattle and displayed at the zoo at the South Entrance. In 1980, the zoo converted into a conservation organization, evicting this locomotive. The plan was to display it at the Montlake campus. However, the City of Seattle couldn't afford to move this locomotive. So, it was disassembled and stored in Oregon. In 2021, the owner died, and his collection of locomotives and rolling stock was acquired by the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad. This locomotive moved to the Northwest Railway Train Shed and is awaiting funds for restoration as of today.
