Built by American Locomotive Company for the Northern Pacific Railway, where it was numbered 125. In 1950, the Walla Walla Valley Railroad bought this locomotive and renumbered it 770. At both railroad companies, it was used to switch both freight at the docks and passenger cars at King Street Station until retiring in 2001. Today, it is on display at the Northwest Railway Museum train shed. It is the oldest diesel-electric locomotive that was used in the Northern Pacific Railway.
